28.06.2019

This Symposium was also the closing event of our model project 'Domestic Violence in Bremen'. Since October 2017, IPoS has been analyzing the needs of the help system for affected children and women of domestic violence in the federal state of Bremen as scientific support. We would like to thank everyone involved, partners, interested and committed people for this project.

 

01.04.2019 New project!

Another project the IPoS is involved in has been granted by the European Commission: The R4JUST project aims to prevent and reduce the risk of radicalisation and violent extremism inside prisons by exploring a multi-sectoral approach, intending to enhance the competences of prison staff, probation staff, as well as judges and prosecutors, while fostering criminal and judicial multi-sectoral cooperation and networking on countering and preventing radicalisation.

 

We are very much looking forward working with our colleagues from Portugal, Italy, Belgium, Netherlands, Romania and Germany!

13.03.2019 - 14.03. 2019  Twinning: Second mission  

The second mission for the IPoS/HfÖV as the German Junior Partner within the Twinning Project 'Enhancing the system of prevention and combating money laundering and terrorism financing in the Republic of Moldova' took place. We are happy to work with our Partners from Poland, Lithuania and the Republic of Moldova.

04.03.2019 New project!

We are happy to announce another project has been granted by the European Commission: FAIRNESS promotes a balanced harmonisation of the Member States’ (MS) legal practices in relation to the implementation of several EU Directives when suspected or accused persons are involved in terror-related crimes or radicalisation; explores the coherence between the ‘spirit’ and previsions of the ‘Stockholm’s Roadmap’ contrasted with investigative and preventive practices involving suspects or accused persons for crimes related to terrorism in the pre-trial stage.

We are very much looking forward to work with our colleagues from Italy, Belgium, Portugal and the Netherlands.

30.01.2019 Project finalized

Our Project 'Radicalisation and Deradicalision' within the ISF funding program has come to an end. We would like to say thank you to all partners and institutions who have worked with us.

The 25 to 27 September VAST event in Sassari has been successful. Both the EPLO representative and the team of University of Sassari as well as the vivid participants have contributed significantly.

25 to 27 September: VAST training event in Sassari takes place. Along with our partner from EPLO/Greece the training event on victims' rights is conducted at our partner's premises of University of Sassari/Italy. We welcome all participants.

As one out of 10 partners in this consortium, coordinated by the University of Malta, we are happy that the project JP-COOPS was granted funding from the European Commission.

Together with our Lead Applicant Poland and Co-Applicant Lithuania we have been awarded the contract for a Twinning project ‚Enhancing the system of prevention and combating money laundering and terrorism financing in the Republic of Moldova’.

We are excited to work as a Junior Partner in this project.

Starting signal for our ISF-BKA Project: Radicalisation and Deradicalisation in German prisons.

In this project we will conduct research on the phenomenon of radicalisation and the counter measures that will take place for deradicalisation and reintegration in the prison context in Germany, taking into account the current needs situation.

Starting Signal for our EU Justice Project: VAST

For our Project VAST – Victim Analysis and Support Tool we will make information on victims’ rights accessible and disseminate knowledge on the availability of mechanisms and processes at EU and domestic level in a sustainable manner.

We are looking forward to work on this exciting topic with our partners EPLO from Greece and UNISS from Italy.

01.10.2017       Milestone!

Starting signal for our project 'Needs analysis of domestic violence' in the federal state of Bremen, Germany. This project is funded by the Federal Ministry of Women, Senior Citizens, Family, Youth (BMFSFJ) and we cooperate with the Central office for equality of women (ZGF).

For this project we will take a look  at the help system for victims of domestic violence in the federal state of Bremen with the focus on children under special consideration of the ‚Istanbul Convention’ .
