A trial seems to be a difficult and emotional procedure, particularly for the injured parties. Often, the victims are completely torn out of their own lives and – in a state of psychological and mental crisis – have to cope with the court negotiotions without any professional help. Fortunately, psychosocial process facilitators are being trained to support victims in these situations. So far, however, there are only a few trainers in Germany who can offer an additional qualification in psychosocial process assistance. One of the few trainers is Gabi Piontkowski, who is a lecturer at the University of Applied sciences of Public Administration Bremen. The local newspaper in Bremen „Weser Kurier“ talked to her and other experts in this field.
